Most people assume a dog leg splint is just a temporary cast for a broken bone. My German Shepherd, Gus, taught me otherwise. He didn’t have a dramatic fall or a yelp-inducing accident. He just started walking… differently. His front right wrist, or carpus, seemed to sink lower to the ground with every step, especially after a long walk. What a Front Leg Splint Actually Does

A front leg splint is a specific tool for a specific job: immobilization.
